The Farmstead of Podere l’Aione is situated not far from the town of Scansano in a position with a panoramic view over the Maremma and the Tuscan Archipelago.

It originated from a settlement ancient enough to have given its name to the road that links the Scansano hills with the villages nearer the coast.  The farmstead was restored in 2002 with the establishment of a vineyard, olive-grove and orchard.  It also keeps bees and sells the produce directly.

Podere l’Aione offers accommodation in four independent buildings, all tastefully restored and furnished with great care to reflect the place’s particular features and character.  Facilities include a restaurant service and a tasting room for sampling our wines.

Guests staying on the farm also enjoy the use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi, set in a spacious garden area with deckchairs and sunbeds.

The area around the farm offers opportunities for walks or cycle-rides as well as woodland treks on the farm property, where guests can enjoy searching for mushrooms, asparagus, chestnuts and other natural produce at the appropriate time of year.  Still the most important feature, however, is the peacefulness of the place, the tranquillity and the unique location, which make it the perfect place for a totally relaxing holiday.
